- structural characterization of supported metal catalysts and metal hydrides forming alloys and intermetallic compounds by X-ray diffraction analysis ( microstructural investigations by X-ray profile Fourier analysis, structure refinement using the Rietveld method - GSAS and WinMProf computer codes) and EXAFS absorption spectroscopy ; - thermal vacuum deposition and laser-assisted physical vapor deposition of narrow gap semiconductor thin films heterostructures and their structural ( X-ray diffraction, EXAFS and XANES absorption spectroscopy - clasical and synchrotron radiation facility, FEFF5 computer code simulation method), optical (IR and VIS) and transport (electrical conductivity, Hall efect) properties; - structural study of amorphous materials by X-ray radial distribution function analysis, X-ray absorption spectroscopy (EXAFS and XANES) and Reverse Monte-Carlo simulation method. Tutorial students work and tutorial post graduate work. Invited lecturer in solid state physics at the University "Babes-Bolyai" of Cluj-Napoca |
